The short film from my screenplay Waiting for the Ball to Drop screens at the Austin International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival. It's part of the "Great Expectations" short series screening at the Regal's Arbor Theater at Great Hills in Austin at 2:30pm. The film was produced and directed by Tim Eicher and stars Bob Brindley, Dan Renzi and Sameul Child.

Holidays Gone Wrong

Will be reading the original version of my short story "Waiting for the Ball to Drop."

Do you remember the year Aunt Dora popped that frozen pie out of its pan and into the oven? 9-1-1 was called and you fell in love with that hunky fireman. Can you recall Uncle Bruce revealing he was gay during holiday worship service? The pastor fainted and the organist smiled way too much. How about the time crazy Cousin Cody spiked the eggnog with Viagra? Or the Thanksgiving dinner when your hostess announced in the middle of the meal what the turkey baster was really used for?

Have you written a holiday story just as horrendous or ten times funnier? Then join Lavender Writes with tales of tormented yuletides and other hilarious holidays for Holidays Gone Wrong. Share your own stories of holiday horrors, hysteria and hijinks at this Open Mic event. Or just lean back, listen in and learn you’re not alone.

Got word today that Alyson Press is going to reprint Act of Contrition in "Friction: The Best Gay Erotic Fiction, Volume 7."
No word on when it will be out. They tend to come out around the first of the year, so I suspect it will be early 2004.
